FurDU Dealers Den Policy
Welcome to the Dealers Den at FurDU! We are excited to provide a welcoming, creative space for artists, craftspeople, and vendors to showcase their work. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all, please review and abide by the following Dealers Den policies.
1. General Requirements
- All vendors (“dealers”) must be approved and registered through the FurDU Dealers Den application process. Registration must be obtained prior to being permitted to deal at the convention.
- Dealers must comply with all applicable laws, including those related to sales tax, business licencing, and prohibited items.
- FurDU will always prioritise providing a space for furry or furry-adjacent creators. As such, we may decline general pop culture fandom or ‘Sunday Market’-style vendors.
2. Prohibited Items
- Weapons (real or replica) unless clearly marked and sold as decorative only.
- Live animals (exceptions for service animals; please contact staff beforehand).
- Food or drink items unless pre-approved by FurDU and the venue.
- Explicit adult material displayed openly (must be censored or covered for general audiences).
- Knock-off, bootleg, or plagiarized merchandise, including unauthorized reproductions of copyrighted works.
3. AI-Generated Art Policy
- No AI-generated art (including images, text, audio, or any other AI-created content) is permitted for sale or display in the Dealers Den. This includes fully AI-generated works, and any pieces significantly modified or created by artificial intelligence models.
- All artwork, prints, crafts, and other creative works must be created by the vendor or by artists who have given direct permission and retain full creative control over their work.
- Violations of this policy will result in immediate removal from the Dealers Den without refund, and may impact future participation eligibility.
- If you are unsure whether your work complies, please ask for clarification during the application process or at any point leading up to the convention.
4. Table Conduct
- Vendors or their delegated assistants must remain at their tables during official Dealers Den hours unless otherwise arranged with staff.
- Displays must not obstruct neighbouring vendors or violate fire codes.
- Respectful and professional behaviour is always expected toward attendees, staff, and fellow vendors.
- No loud or disruptive behaviour, including amplified music or shouting, is permitted.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
- If you need to cancel your space, please notify the dealers den as soon as possible.
- Refund policies are outlined in the terms of service available on our website. Typically, partial refunds may be available depending on the timing of cancellation.
6. Liability
- FurDU and the hosting venue are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged merchandise, supplies, or personal property.
- Vendors are responsible for securing their own goods and handling their own insurance if desired.
- CCTV within the dealers’ den spaces is provided by FurDU as a deterrent and a means for recourse should missing merchandise be identified. CCTV access requests must be made in writing to [email protected] or visit our contact page (General Enquiries).
7. Agreement
By participating in the FurDU Dealers Den, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these policies. Failure to adhere may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the event and/or denial of future vending opportunities.
8. FurDU Brand
Upon receipt of payment of a Dealer’s Den Invoice, dealers are automatically granted limited, non-exclusive permission to use FurDU brand assets (including but not limited to logos, event names, and associated graphics) for the purpose of product creation and promotion of their attendance at the event.
This permission is only granted for the current event cycle and expires at the conclusion of the event the dealer is accepted to vend at. Use of these assets must be directly related to participation in the event, and must not imply sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement beyond that participation unless specifically approved by the management committee.
All use of the FurDU brand and associated assets is subject to prior written approval from authorised representatives of Furry Down Under Inc. All dealers must submit any intended use for review by FurDU, and all rights are reserved to revoke or restrict usage at any time if assets are used in a manner deemed inappropriate, misleading, or inconsistent with organisation values.
