Your Chance to Shine
Get set to enthrall the crowd at Furry Down Under 2024! Taking place at the spectacular Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise from 19 – 21 April 2024, this is your opportunity to bring the party to life. Whether you’re a DJ or a live music act, our stage is waiting for you.
The Selection
Each application will be carefully evaluated by a panel of judges. We value diversity in music and performance, so all genres and styles are welcome. Make sure your demo showcases your best work – and if you’re feeling ambitious, you can submit a second alternate demo in a different genre or style.
The Requirements
Performers are expected to bring or organise their own DJ controller, hardware, or instruments for the event. All performances are anticipated to be live, on-stage acts. We can only consider pre-recorded sets in exceptional cases, such as extreme compassionate or extenuating circumstances.
For collaborative or B2B DJ applications, remember to include all performers involved in your set in your demo. Just note that each performer can only submit one entry, either as an individual or as part of a group.
The Perks
Successful applicants will be awarded a standard weekend registration for the convention, up to two registrations per application. Do note that this DJ registration cannot be transferred and does not include room pre-registration.
Post-Performance
After the event, we’ll need you to submit a listing of the tracks you performed. This is for music license reporting purposes and is a legal requirement. Not submitting this in time could impact your eligibility to perform at future Furry Down Under events.
Important Dates
The deadline for all applications is 31 July 2023 at 11:59 pm AEST. We’ll be in touch via Email and Telegram with our decisions by 17 August 2023.
